The Malawi Revenue Authority (MRA) has revealed that taxes amounting to K 181 Million have been collected within a month in Blantyre through its Block Management System.
In its recently launched Block Management System, MRA came up with reforms to enforce tax compliance by going closer to the tax payers.
After creating Blocks in Blantyre MRA has also created four Blocks in Lilongwe.
Speaking to MIJ Online, John Bizwick MRA Commissioner General said there has been good progress with the system as now tax payers are able to understand tax issues and its importance.
