Dr. Mathews Mtumbuka, UTM presidential running mate says the ideas of the party’s president Dr. Dalitso Kabambe, remain critical in ensuring Malawi addresses varied socioeconomic challenges.

In a statement, Mtumbuka emphasizes the need for fresh leadership that can guide Malawi into a hopeful future.
“We need more than just a new State President; we need a complete change in direction. It is clear that the nation requires innovative leaders who resonate with the hopes and aspirations of its youth, “he said.
With just weeks remaining before the elections, Dr. Mtumbuka stated that the current political landscape is failing to adequately address the needs of younger generations.
He added: “We need leaders who not only understand our current challenges but also have a vision for the future. Dr. Kabambe, 53, and Dr. Mtumbuka, 47, are positioned as the vanguard of the fresh leadership Malawi sorely needs. We are not perfect, but we embody hope and energy,”
He says the party is committing to creating new job opportunities in the digital economy.
He says the vision includes enabling young Malawians to work remotely for global companies, potentially earning up to MK200,000 a day without needing a visa.
