Nsanje murder: Police enhance manhunt

Nsanje Police are searching for people who killed men identified as Supalo Tomasi, 30 years old, and Emmanuel Khisimisi, 60 years old, in separate incidents in the district.

Nsanje Police Station spokesperson, Agnes Zalakoma, has told MIJ Online that Tomasi hailed from Kalumbi village and whilst Khisimisi, came from Mkango village both from Senior Chief Tengani in the district.

According to Zalakoma, Tomasi accused Khisimisi of being involved in a spate of killings in the village killings.

This led to a confrontation between the two, in the process Tomasi fatally struck Khisimisi with a stick, which led to his death.

In reiteration, some angry people apprehended Tomasi and exercised mob justice on him by burning him to death.

Zalakoma has told us that later, both Tomasi and Khisimisi were found burnt to death by unknown people.

Meanwhile, Zalakoma has said the police are investigating the matter and have warned that those involved will be prosecuted.
