Authorities have disclosed that over 2 million farmers out of 3.5 million have redeemed their inputs under the Affordable Inputs Program- AIP.
Grecian Lungu, spokesperson for the ministry of Agriculture disclosed this as over a million farmers are yet to redeem their inputs despite the onset of the rains in the country.
According to, Lungu, over fifty five percent of the targeted farmers have redeemed their inputs and that eight thousand nine hundred cheap goats have been sold to farmers in Chikwawa and Nsanje representing a forty four percent redemption rate.
