Dedza police deputy publicist Cassim Manda has donated writing materials at Chilamba primary school and paid school fees for needy girl learners at Mchisu secondary school in the district.
Manda says the move which was part of celebrating his birthday is also meant to go towards supporting efforts to improve access to education for girls.
The development also coincides with a release of his song titled “Maphunziro amwana wakazi.” in which he joins stakeholders in encourages girls to be in school.
‘’I took this gesture because I belong to the community where there is that disparity. I feel I have made an important impact’’ he said.
Some of the beneficiaries could not hide their gratitude and said the donations will go a long way in addressing challenges they have been facing.
