The Public Procurement and Disposal of Assets Authority has called on Small Medium Enterprise to register on Malawi National Electronic Procurement System.
The call was made in Lilongwe during the PPDA training workshop for small enterprises on the use of the system aimed to enhance transparency, fairness and efficiency in the procurement process .
Paul Katema, ICT director for the authority said the system was designed to empower small scale traders with knowledge and skills necessary to navigate online procurement while offering opportunities in running their business in the country.
Susan Numbers one of the business operators said the engagement will help to fill the information gap when applying for tenders published in the government procurement system.
