The board of Silver Strikers has dissolved the team’s national supporters committee, just weeks after its appointment.
This comes as there have been reports of alleged discontent by some quarters of the supporters who felt the appointed did not serve the club in critical roles previously.
But a club statement signed by David Dauda, the club’s communication and fan engagement officer, the reconstitution of the committee pending review is underway.
‘’ The club has now commenced the review process which will include consultations with supporters and key stakeholders across the country with an aim of developing a modern supporters policy’’ reads the statement in part.
Renowned journalist Chisomo Mwamadi had been named as the national coordinator while Charles Kang’ombe was his vice.
Kumbukani Kalomba and Gersom Kalomba were named as the committee’s general secretary and treasurer respectively.
The members were Sphiwe Banda,Tia, Maria Katemba,Jossam Betifala, Jaffali Chikwakwa, Noah Gilbert and Fakame Chiyamwaka.
The committee also trusted Joshua Chinguwo and Gutso Francis as their northern and central coordinators while Zeki Mdindo was the regional coordinator for the southern region.
