The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has announced that all applications to change ownership of vehicles, houses, and land must now be cleared by the bureau first.
The new measure, effective November 13, 2025, is in a statement signed by the ACB’s Acting Director General, Gabriel G. Chembezi.
According to the bureau, the rule is aimed to prevent criminals from hiding or selling assets bought with illegal funds.
The ACB has assured the public that the vetting process will be completed within four working days to avoid delays.
Meanwhile, the bureau has urged both public officials and citizens to cooperate and not to engage in any corrupt activities that would undermine this new process.
