A political analyst has praised the Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) for engaging various stakeholders in a pilot exercise designed to test the transmission of election results.
This initiative coincides with MEC’s launch today of a pilot program for the election results transmission system being conducted in five selected districts including Lilongwe.
Speaking to MIJ Online political analyst Ernest Thindwa stated that the exercise is a positive step toward fostering trust among voters, political parties, civil society organizations, and international observers in the transparency and integrity of the electoral process.
Thindwa further encouraged Malawians not to approach the initiative with fear but rather to follow it with interest and confidence.
