Electoral observers have expressed satisfaction with the progress of the campaign period ahead of the September 16 elections.
MIJ Online understands that there are 19 days to go before the period, in which aspirants lure electorates to vote for them, comes to an end.
According to Chisankho Watch, an electoral observer, thus far, the campaign period has been peaceful, borderless, and issue-based.
Speaking to MIJ Online, Bishop Gilford Matonga, Chairperson for the Watch, noted a reduction in violence and politics of castigation as compared to the pre-campaign period.
However, Matonga has observed a lack of excitement on the campaign trail.
