Malawi can be able to deal with prevailing health issues, should deliberate research be conducted, authorities say.
The remarks come ahead of the Research Dissemination Conference scheduled at Kamuzu University of Health Sciences (KUHeS) from November 30th to December 1st, 2023.
The conference’s theme is “Tackling the MW2063 Health Research Priorities: through a multidisciplinary approach.”
Speaking to MIJ Online, Professor MacPherson Mallewa, Vice Chancellor for KUHeS, said research play a crucial role in combating both infectious and non-infectious diseases.
Meanwhile, Mulewa disclosed that, the 130 million Kwacha which was budgeted for will likely increase due to the devaluation of the Kwacha, hence calling for more financial assistance.
