The National Centre for Adult Literacy and Education has expressed concern over the monthly payment that adult literacy instructors receive in the country.
The concern comes as the adult literacy class instructors that work under government adult literacy programme are receiving k30,000 per month.
Speaking to MIJ Online, Samuel Ziba, Chief Community Development Officer for the centre admitted that, this is insignificant for instructors comparing to the level of living standards in the country.
Ziba also said that, increasing payments can help instructors to be able to implement their work in the right way.
Meanwhile, Linda Moyo spokesperson for the Ministry of gender said the Ministry has requested the Ministry of finance to suggest an increase for the payment of Adult Literacy teachers.
