The Malawi Liverpool Wellcome Research Programme (MLW) says it remains steadfast in conducting high-quality research and training the next generation of health leaders.
The pledge comes as the institution unveils a fresh visual identity and renewed governing principles.
Speaking to MIJ Online, MLW Director Henry Mwandumba said the rebrand has offered them a chance to reflect on weaknesses within their research programmes.
He, however, stressed that the new look does not alter their mission or vision.
“Our identity should reflect who we are now. We are not erasing history, we’re embracing it,” said Mwandumba.
On her part, Tamara Makawa, Head of Operations, explained that the new visual outlook will incorporate fresh colours and a logo that symbolises the strength of their partnerships.
