Blessed is the hand: Apostle Kawinga continues on hunger fight trail

For over fifteen thousand households in the Area of Traditional Authority Ngomano in Thyolo district, a donation of over three household bags of maize by Apostle Clifford Kawinga of Salvation for All Ministries International has come handy when hunger has been biting hard in recent months.

Thronging Chizunga grounds, the beneficiaries could not hide their gratitude at receiving the maize and other food items at an event where Kawinga gave out a thrilling sermon.

In his sermon, Kawinga said he expects people to demonstrate love and unity and to also work hard in their farms as well.

He said the demonstration is part of a nation-wide exercise in which over nine thousand bags are due to be given to needy households.

” As we are stressing, we always tackle three areas of the human being thus the soul, fresh and spirit. We have preached the word of God but also touch the body part by giving out the food items. We are going through a lot as a country socially, economically as such it’s our responsibility as church leaders to take part and make difference, ‘’ he said.

Apparently, according to Kawinga, at the event he also utilized the time to drill community leaders in ensuring that they are not corrupt and that their societies are productive.

‘’As you might have heard, I implored them to be leaders who ‘lead’. I also urged them to ensure that communities are united and work hard for the betterment of their religious and social lives,’’ said Kawinga whose ministry also fed the people.

On his part, Traditional Authority Ngomano said the donation came at the hefty time of need for the communities and that the gesture was no match to what he has ever seen on the humanitarian space.

‘’ I have been on the throne for 30 years and I must say I have never come across any gesture of this sort. We are so excited for what he [Kawinga] has done to our communities,’’ he said.

For sixty-nine-year-old Elina Peterson, the maize she has receive will go a long way in feeding four orphans that she supports.

‘’This bag means today; our household shall have food. We are so much grateful and may it be rendered to many other communities like us, ‘’ she said.

Apostle Kawinga has given out similar gestures in Phalombe and Mulanje.
