Crazy Warriors and Mikoko Mystics are the winners of this year’s CDH Investment Bank Southern Zone Basketball League (Sozobal) End of Season Cups in the men and women’s divisions, respectively at Kuhes Sports Complex in Blantyre.

The competition drew glamour with the teams putting up their best to claim better results.
The Warriors claimed a win over Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences Wildcats 64-53 in the final at Kamuzu University of Health Sciences while Mystics won 49-36 over Sparks.
In the chase, the Warriors had been leading 17-15 until they stretched to four points by the halftime break 29-25.
The gap was narrowed back to two CDHIB SOZOBAL end of season cup points after third quarter (44-42) before the Warriors eventually exploded to a nine-basket triumph.
Hydin Mafuta from Crazy Warriors was named Regular Season Most Valuable Player.

In the women’s final, the first quarter ended seven all before Sparks led 16- SOORAL 12 at half-time.
Mystics overturned the tables with a 31-22 lead in the third stanza and widened the gap to 13 points at the sound of the final whistle.
With Jennifer Lupiya making an individual contribution of 24 points and making a total of 10 rebounds, it was clear from the second quarter that Mystics were destined for glory.
Earlier this year, the bank announced the sponsorship which rose from 3 million Kwacha.
10 Million was used for the 2023 CDH Investment Bank Cup ‘Money in the Bank’ tournament.
The bank used 5 Million Kwacha for the final at Kuhes over the weekend.
