The High Court in Blantyre has issued summons to former Matindi private school owner Elvis Nserebo over money amounting to K15 Million which he swindled former deputy Speaker of Parliament Esther Mcheka Chilenje over fraudulent sale agreement of Maranatha Academy School premises.
The court has warned Nserebo that failure to satisfy the claim or file a defense within the prescribed time, judgement may be entered against him without further notice.
“Take note that…if you return the response without stating, therein an intention to contest the proceedings, the claimant may proceed with the claim and judgement may be entered against you without further notice.” Reads part of the court summons
Nserebo and self-acclaimed prophet-Andrew Kambeja failed to comply with the court order to refund Mcheka Chilenje K15 million which the two swindled by duping her that she will take over Matindi School premises currently leased to Maranatha boys Academy for 10 years from 2018 to 2028.
Kambenje and Elvis Nserebo, connived and approached Chilenje to give them K15 million for the purchase of Matindi School premises being currently occupied on lease by Maranatha Academy.
After realizing she was duped, Chilenje reported the matter and the court ordered the two to refund the sum of K15, 240, 000 as the amount received by the defendant in a failed sale agreement.
However up to now, Nserebo is yet to pay back the sum as ordered by the court.
