MIJ-FM has learnt with reliable authority that the case has been adjourned to 15 September.

In an interview with MIJ Online, Memory Ngosi a child rights activists said this is not a good date considering that it’s just a day before Malawi goes to polls.

Ngosi said the lawyers and office of CRM discuss and give another date earlier than the said date.

She bemoaned the defense will use this date as an excuse to adjourn again so we can’t accept that.

Akster is being accused of sexually abusing beneficiaries of a secondary school bursary scheme at Timotheos Foundation.
