The UTM party has ruled out the possibility of forming an alliance with other parties citing that the time for such arrangements has passed.
This comes amid calls for UTM to form an alliance with parties such as the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP).
Speaking to MIJ Online, Dr Dalitso Kabambe President for UTM said that with the elections just around the corner, each party will be contesting on its own.
Kabambe revealed that although there were previous discussions with other parties, they were unsuccessful, with some parties proposing UTM take on a secondary role.
He has also disclosed that their representatives who are together with MEC officials in Dubai have seen ballots featuring UTM’s leaders already been printed.
