The Farmers Union of Malawi has expressed concern over the increase of organic fertilizer prices in the country.
The prices have risen relatively with four thousand kwacha.
The increase comes barely a few days after the ministry announced that it will trim the number of Affordable Inputs Program by at least half.
Speaking to MIJ FM, Frighton Njolomole President of Farmers union of Malawi said the increase in the price will have a bearing on the amount of yield that farmers release in the country.
However, Njolomole has tipped farmers to use compost manure as an alternative as the body engages government on the matter.
