The Ministry of Tourism has temporarily closed Golden Peacock Hotel in Lilongwe due to poor hygiene and sanitation within its premises.
It follows the commencement of an exercise aimed at checking if hotel managers are up to standard with their operations.
Speaking to MIJ Online, Josephy Nkhosi, Spokesperson for the Ministry, said officials for the hotel have been ordered to suspend their activities till the hygiene issues are addressed
