Govt against ‘once off’ teachers interviews

Government has described as invalid, calls by some concerned unemployed teachers to have at once, interviews organized by district councils.

This development is coming at a time unemployed teacher have complained about large numbers of people attending the walk-in interviews.

With this, they have suggested the need for these interviews to be done at once.

However, in his reaction, Berlings Kumpata, Executive Secretary for Local Government Service Commission – has described the complaints as baseless.

Kumpata has told MIJ Online, that the mandate of recruiting the teachers falls under the councils, hence being a challenge to dictate to them how they should hold recruitment processes.
