The weekend ahead is to go down the history lane as among the most memorable for the many rare moments in the offing.
Not only because the Scorchers are to be stealing the continental and global limelight in Rabat, Morocco, no!
But also because history is on the verge of being written on the literature space.
Come Saturday afternoon, Elena and Evelyn Centre, Area 49 in Lilongwe is that space to patronize to celebrate the launch of books published by Dr. Zizwa Msukuma, an education policy expert.
In a pre-launch interview, Msukuma has told MIJ Online, he has set the weekend to launch 15 books he has written and published over the years.
The books, motivated by a deep conviction of education being the cornerstone of national development and transformation, he said, focus on education and expects them to provide insights into “what is working-and-not … whilst offering solutions.”
Each book, he said, emerged from a pressing need observed in the countrys education system and across the region.
For instance, Msukuma has cited, the persistent gaps between policy and practice, curriculum and classroom realities, and training and labour market demands as some of the key fundamentals failing the country’s education system.
“In writing these books I wanted to ensure that every child, regardless of gender, geography, or socio-economic background, has access to quality education that empowers them to thrive,” he said.
