Ku Mingoli Bash seeks to promote local artists
The organizers of the highly anticipated Ku Mingoli Bash, Sound Addicts, have set sights on empowering local artists at this year’s show.
The event is slated to take place on August 3, 2024, at Civo Stadium in Lilongwe.

Some of the confirmed performing acts are Tay Grin, Gwamba, Zeze Kingston, Lulu, Saint, Temwa, Eli Njuchi, Praise Umali, Bucci, Emmie DPop Young, and Kellie Devine.
Shadreck Kalukusha, Managing Director of Sound Addicts, has emphasized the importance of supporting and promoting Malawian artistry.
“This year, we are intentionally steering away from featuring international artists. This decision signifies a new direction for Ku Mingoli Bash, as we are dedicated to celebrating and uplifting local talent. We acknowledge that by constantly seeking out international acts, we may inadvertently overlook the wealth of talent within our own borders.” He stated.
The essence of Ku Mingoli Bash, according to Kalukusha, is to provide a platform for local artists to showcase their skills and creativity on a grand stage.
By prioritizing Malawian talent, the event aims to elevate local performers to the same level of recognition as their international counterparts, fostering a sense of pride and empowerment within the local music community.
The event promises to be a celebration of homegrown talent and a testament to the vibrancy and creativity of Malawian musicians.
Tickets for the bash are now available at various outlets across Lilongwe, with 2,000 tickets on promotion.
