Malawi bids farewell to Chilima at Parliament Building

In a solemn and dignified ceremony, top dignitaries, family members, government officials, and people from all walks of life are gathering at the Parliament Building in Lilongwe to pay their last respects to the late Vice President Saulos Chilima.

Chilima, passed away in a plane crash on Monday in Chikangawa and is being honored by the nation for his dedicated service and leadership.

The Parliament Building is filled with mourners, including President Lazarus Chakwera, who is leading the tributes to the fallen hero.

Outside the building, long queues of people wait patiently to pay their respects, a testament to the impact Chilima had on the lives of many.

The atmosphere is somber, with mourners dressed in black and traditional attire, all united in their grief.
