The Last Church of God international has been the latest to endorse Leader of Shalom Mount Valley Prophet David Mbewe for presidency in 2025.
The support was raised during the opening ceremony of its 3 days annual general conference at Phapa in Karonga District.
However, Mbewe has in recent times been coy to make a stand on such endorsements as he came out among six other candidates earmarked to take the reins of power within the former ruling Democratic Progressive Party.
Leader for the Church Arch Bishop James Katondo said he was in disbelief to see a man of Mbewe’s caliber with such humility and compassion for others as he fed thousands of his members through donations of cash, a live cow, mattresses and assisted faithful with cooking and offloading firewood from vehicles.
The sentiments were also echoed by Reverend Ndovi who added that several humanitarian and spiritual assistance he has been rendering portray outright leadership traits in Mbewe.
In his remarks, Mbewe said he takes into consideration concerns that people have raised and he is eager given the support to help the nation.
Until, now, Mbewe has been reserved on whether he will give in or not and under what party.
