Musician cum radio personality Mphatso Chikalipo alias Mr. P is flying the flag at the start of this year with the release of a new single.
The single titled Sikuti Ungafe is meant to encourage people to speak their mind out when they love someone than pretending not to care regardless of being a man or a woman.
Mr P, whose is fondly known for his escapades in promoting blossoming artists says the song is taken from Ngwazi EP (The rising of a Superstar).
The song which is already enjoying massive airplay across Malawia and relatively extensive downloads online has been produced under the Craig Dreamz Nation recording label.
Chikalipo touts his career having brought to the limelight artists like Mafo, Nyakanyaka, Twin M, W Twice, Blaze, Ababa Surgent, Mwanache, K Banton and Wella just to mention a few through his radio show Dolo wa Mu hood.
He rose to prominence in 2005 after joining Malawi’s first private owned radio station Fm 101 Power up to 2018 when he joined one of Malawi’s media giants Mij Fm Radio in May 2018. His song “Am Sorry” which he featured Trumel recorded at Pro Pee Records in 2012 became very popular in Malawi.
Before the hit single Mr P who used to do hardcore Dancehall music featured in Malawi’s legendary artist Sir Soldier Lucious Banda’s song “Could we start again” and in Tay Grin’s “Focus Africa”.
The list of other artists he has worked with include late Mafunyeta, Former Power 101 Dj Lomwe, Mafo and Nyasa B just to mention a few. Other singles under his name include Shadow, U Yoh, Musova and Ndabweranso. Currently Mr P is working on a “NGWAZI EP” (Rising of a Superstar) project.
