Mulli suggests continental business lobby group

Business magnet Leston Mulli has proposed the establishment of a continental network for business players to protect and promote interests of African investors.

He has made the proposal at the Inter-African Trade Fair held in Egypt.

There’re observations that some businesses perceived ‘politically connected’ suffer once governments change in Africa.

Mulli: We need to be innovative.

Along this observation; Mulli, a multi-national investor himself operating in: Zambia, Mozambique, Tanzania, Zimbabwe and Malawi said the continental body would be responsible for mediating with governments on the need to supporting African business interests.

Meanwhile, he has commended Afrexim Bank for establishing the Pan African Payment Systems which is hoped to ease payments in Africa.

The bank has also established an insurance facility for goods in transit within Africa.
