Mwaiwathu Hospital donates K3 Million to ICAM conference

Mwaiwathu Private Hospital has donated K3 million to the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Malawi ahead of the body’s 3-day conference from 15th to 17th September 2022.

Among other thing, at the conference practitioners will weigh in various trends that have rocked the industry but also draw areas of improving the sector.

Mwaiwathu Chief Finance Officer, Patrick Chalu Phalira, said the donation was made having rated highly the work that accountants do not just at the institution but across other sectors of the economy.

” We have value this profession as much. That is why we made this donation where even our accountants will interact with others in this field, said Phalira.

Health practitioners from Mwaiwathu will also offer various medical services to participants at the conference.

Speaking after receiving the donation, ICAM Director of Education and Training, Chrissy Jere, said the donation will help a lot at the conference which will focus on exploring ways of digitizing the country’s economy.

Minister of Finance Sosten Gwengwe is expected to be the Guest of Honor at the lake conference in Salima.
