Workers at Mzuzu University have said they will from Monday- May, 2nd hold an industrial action over unsettled pension arrears.
This is contained in a letter that MIJ Online has seen, signed by heads of executive committees Angel Nyirenda, president of Mzuzu University Academic Staff Union and G Mloya, president of Mzuzu University Non-Academic Staff Union, which is addressed to members of stuff.
The worker are demanding authorities to settle their pension arrears.
Among others the heads have indicated in the latter that, the strike will be held for five days, which is from May 2nd up to May 6th in order to comply with the new Labor Relations Act.
