Namwiri, Chilobwe bridge to be complete this month

Works continue.

The construction of the bridge which connects people from Green Corner, Namwiri and Chilobwe in the Commercial City of Blantyre is expected to end this month end of January.

The Bridge which is expected to take about K6 million is one amongst the developmental projects which Blantyre City South Legislator Noel Lipipa is implementing in the area.

“The Contractor has assured us that the bridge will be ready for use this coming month end and we are delighted with this as our people in the areas of Green Corner, Namwiri and Chilobwe will have to move freely. I am geared as MP of this constituency to develop it, let me just appeal to the contractors to be giving us standardized infrastructures that will last for over 50 years “, Lipipa said.

Ornamental Investment are the contractors who have been trusted by the Blantyre city Council to construct the bridge.
