Nocma adds fuel suppliers

The National Oil Company of Malawi has announced that it has added four new suppliers of oil to its roster as part of efforts to deal with fuel supply issues across the country.

According to Micklas Reuben, Director of Operations at Nocma, the new means of importing fuel will help the country overcome foreign exchange difficulties by 15 percent, as local firms are enlisted to help with the transportation of the commodity.

In an interview with MIJ Online,Reuben added that the move will help stabilize fuel availability in all depots across the country.

However, Martin Msimuko, General Manager of Petroleum Importers Limited, has raised concerns over access to further fuel due to outstanding debts of $13m to suppliers.
