Parliament nods to 206 Billion Kwacha AGCOM grant
Parliament has allowed government to acquire a grant from the World Bank of 260 billion kwacha for the second phase of Agricultural Commercialization (AGCOM) Project.

This comes as the first phase of the project amounting to 95 billion kwacha is coming to an end this year.
Speaking to MIJ Online, Sosten Gwengwe Minister of Finance said the grant has been made as the World Bank was excited with the excellent performance of the flagship programme for transforming smallholder agriculture from mostly subsistence to commercial.
According to Gwengwe, the new grant will help the country to increase its productivity which will assist in food security.
