Bertha Ndebele, runningmate for the People’s Development Party (PDP), will be in Dedza tomorrow as she embarks on her campaign trail ahead of the 16th September 2025 general elections.
Ndebele is the runningmate for Kondwani Nankhumwa, the PDP presidential candidate, in this pivotal election.
The PDP’s vice president, Ndebele will attend the 25th anniversary celebration of Father Andrew Ulemu Kaufa’s priesthood at Kasina Parish at Linthipe 1.
Later in the afternoon, she will join the Bible Shower celebration of Beatrice Msamu at Ferry CCAP Church for a special celebration before Msamu’s wedding.
To the party, Ndebele brings a wealth of experience to the role of running mate.
She has a strong educational background, holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of Malawi.
Ndebele, also has a Master of Science degree in International Relations from the University of Zimbabwe.
Before entering politics, Ndebele worked as a secondary school teacher for 10 years.
She then served as Malawi’s Deputy Ambassador to Zimbabwe from 2015 to 2018 and later resigned to return to Malawi and successfully ran for Member of Parliament in the 2019 elections.
In Parliament, she held the position of Deputy Chief Whip and was also appointed as Chairperson of the SADC Organ of Social Services.
