Farmers have been advised to wait for effective planting rains.
Following the onset of rains in some parts of southern Malawi, an advisory has been issued to farmers to exercise patience before planting their crops.
Lucy Mtilatila, the Director of the Department of Climate Change, informed MIJ Online that districts, including Chikwawa, Nsanje, Lilongwe and Mwanza, have already experienced rainfall.
Meanwhile, agriculture expert- Leonard Chimwaza has advised farmers, to refrain from hasty seed planting until their respective regions receive sufficient and effective planting rains.
