The Blantyre District Youth Football Committee has announced that matches for the Nthanda Under-14 and M’mera Mpoyamba Under-16 leagues will resume this Saturday, following weeks of suspension due to financial constraints.

The fixtures were previously halted after the committee faced challenges in securing funds to pay referees and meet other operational costs.
Speaking to MIJ Online, Andy Kacheswiche, the committee’s vice secretary, confirmed that all logistical issues have now been addressed, allowing the leagues to continue.
Kacheswiche has urged parents and community members to support the young players as the competitions get back underway.
The Nthanda Under-14 League is hosted at the B-Company Ground in Kanjedza, while the M’mera Mpoyamba Under-16 League takes place at Blantyre Teachers College in Soche.
