Some concerned youths are organizing a solidarity walk against what they term as selective justice in the country.
One of the organizers, Penjani Kalua has told MIJ Online that the sentencing of John Mussa to eight years imprisonment for being found with marijuana, is one of the examples of selective justice.
Speaking to MIJ Online Kalua said it is now time for the general public to stand against any form of injustice by the country’s courts.
The organizers are yet to disclose the date and the venue of the said parade.
Meanwhile, Justin Dzonzi a legal expert has said the inconsistency in handling similar cases in the courts is fueling the belief of selective justice among the citizenry.
However, Dzonzi has told us that mitigating factors determine custodial sentence for offenders, hence the misunderstanding on the operations of the courts by the public.
