Authorities have said youths in the country are key in quests to achieve the Malawi Vision 2063, hence need to incorporate them in the implementation of the development blue print.
According to Judith Msusa, Director for Youth in the Ministry of Youth and Sports- most youths are creative and innovative something that makes them assets for the country’s development.
Msusa made the remarks at a graduation ceremony of over four hundred incubates at Incubation Center at Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences- MUBAS.
Among others, the trainees were undergoing entrepreneurial and manufacturing short courses which are under the Jobs for Youths in Africa program.
Meanwhile Msusa has told MIJ Online that government is geared in creating a conducive environment for the youths to be economically self-reliant.
And concurring with Msusa, Associate Professor Nancy Chitera Vice Chancellor for MUBAS who has described the project as vital for the country’s development saying it will equip the youths with skills that will enable them to create jobs for themselves and for others too.
According to Chitera, the 2016 to 2025 African Development Bank project is being implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
