The long wait for this year’s normal rains will soon be over, if an assurance the Department of Climate Change and Meteorological Services (MET) has given, is anything to go by.
Malawi, as disclosed by the department is expected to start receiving normal rainfall this coming Friday.
The disclosure by Jolam Nkhokwe, the director of MET comes as there have been more questions than answers on when the country will receive the long-awaited rains.
However, Nkhokwe has told MIJ Online that from Friday, the country will continue to receive the rains until the weekend.
Meanwhile, Tamani Nkhono, an agricultural expert – has urged farmers whose crops have been affected – to replant.
