President Lazarus Chakwera will today along with the First Lady leave Malawi for the United Nations General Assembly.
According to a statement by the ministry of foreign affairs, Chakwera will address the assembly on 21st September.
He will have already on 18th September addressed the Millennium Challenge Compact.
Details about his return will be announced later on.
The United Nations General Assembly is one of the six principal organs of the United Nations, serving as its main deliberative, policymaking, and representative organ.
Currently in its 78th session, its powers, composition, functions, and procedures are set out in Chapter IV of the United Nations Charter.
