Chikadya has announced his resignation in a letter dated February 26, 2022 and addressed to the Comptroller of Statutory Corporations.

However – in his resignation letter, Chikadya has questioned the practicality of the decision by PAC for him to attend a second inquiry on a matter the committee had earlier handled and made its decision.

According to him – PAC had in November last year determined that the board was not incompetent in the recruitment of Kachanje and hence there were no reasons to fire the board.

Meanwhile – Chikadya has confirmed his resignation to MIJ.
