Chris to the rescue as Nomads go top

Two second half goals from Christopher Jaccama Kumwembe have sent Mighty Mukuru Wanderers top of the table in the 2023 TNM Super League after beating Karonga United by two goals to one at Kamuzu stadium.

Karonga United were first to score in the first half from Gabihno Daudi.

Kumwembe was named Man of the Match.

The visitors dominated play in the first half before Wanderers coach Mark Harrison made four changes bringing in Francisco Madinga, Gaddie Chirwa, Stanley Sanudi and Wisdom Mpinganjira.

The win for Mighty Mukuru Wanderers has dislodged Chitipa United who were top of the table.

The Nomads go top with 40 points, one ahead of second placed Chitipa.

Karonga lie fifth with 31 points.

Meanwhile, FCB Nyasa Big Bullets has also a chance to dislodge Wanderers on top of the league, if they will win against Mighty Wakawaka Tigers tomorrow at Kamuzu Stadium.
