Defence completes parading witnesses in Buleya Lule case

The defence in Buleya Lule case has completed parading witnesses at the Lilongwe High Court.

Martha Chizuma ACB Director was the last person this morning to testify for the defence in a case which is being presided by Judge Justice Kachale.

Lule was accused of abducting and killing a boy with albinism in 2019 but later he died in police custody.

The case is now remaining with ten police officers who are being accused.

Speaking to MIJ Online, Dzikondianthu Malunda, State lawyer said now the two parties will make their final written submissions in which later the court will make its judgement.

According to Malunda, the defence has been given 45 days to make their submissions while the state is expected to respond afterwards within two weeks.
