Government has cast fears of possible violence associated with the run up to next year’s elections.
The sentiments by Moses Kunkuyu , Minister of Information come after former president Peter Mutharika made claims that some areas are being drawn as no go zones for his party ahead of the elections.
Among other things, Mutharika asked government to address the alleged fears.
But Kunkuyu government spokesperson said what the former president is asking is something that is already guaranteed in the constitution of Malawi stating that security is available in all areas and that the polls will be fair.
