Meke Mwase has been relieved of his duties as coach for the Malawi national football team as the FA has opted for Romanian Marian Marinica to be coach.
This has followed an executive committee meeting that was held over the weekend.
It is expected that Marinica will have to appoint his own backroom staff.
He has been the Technical Director throughout and was given the dugout powers at the Africa Cup of nations earlier in the year.
