A National International Organization for Standardization Conformity Assessment Committee has been formed in the country.
Authorities say it is part of the government’s commitment to align with international quality and safety Standards.
The move comes as the country continues strengthening its quality assurance systems to meet global standards.
Speaking to MIJ Online, Gloria Chaonamwene Mereka, Malawi Bureau of Standards (MBS), Director of Quality Assurance Services said, the committee will ensure the country has a voice in the development of global standards.
