Mtumbuka lobbies for issue based campaign

Ahead of the September 16 elections, UTM presidential running mate Matthews Mtumbuka, who is accompanied by the party’s presidential candidate Dr. Dalitso Kabambe, has urged fellow political figures to refrain from what he called “primitive politics” and called for a clean and issue-based campaign.

Dr Mtumbuka and Dr Kabambe are on a campaign trail.

Speaking at Karonga’s Lulindo Primary School, Mtumbuka stated that Malawians should be the focus of a campaign that emphasizes practical answers to the nation’s problems rather than insults or disruptive behavior.

Mtumbuka added that the Northern Region’s citizens have already demonstrated their support for UTM and Dr. Kabambe..

Mtumbuka has been camping in the North since being named running mate, organizing whistle-stop rallies to increase party support.
