The National Bank of Malawi has sponsored the 2023 National Energy Conference organized by Renewable Energy Industry Association of Malawi (REIAMA), which is slated for 26-27 October, with a sum of K2 Million kwacha.
Among other issues, stakeholders at the conference will explore other sources of energy apart from Hydro- source of power.
Speaking to MIJ Online, Eric Bob Munthali Senior Manager and Retail Banking at National Bank of Malawi plc says the bank has decided to sponsor the events as Malawi is still struggling to a achieve goals of sustainable and clean energy.
Meanwhile, Sosten Chigalu President for Renewable Energy Industry Association of Malawi has disclosed that the country is still failing to embrace new Renewable sources of energy although strategies and policies were set to support the usage of renewable sources of energy.
