The Higher Education Students Loans and Grants Board says it has received about 29,000 applications from students for the 2026/27 academic year.
According to Millie Kasunda, Communications Manager for the Board, the application period will close on 24th June 2026.
Speaking to MIJ Online, Kasunda urged students to read the instructions on the application portal carefully to avoid mistakes when applying for loans.
She added that the Board hopes to reach its target of 38,000 students by the time the application window closes.
