Civil society organizations have been tipped to build resilience to effectively hold duty bearers to account.
The sentiments have been made during a training workshop on Building leadership resilience towards consolidation of democracy, organized by the Leadership Institute for Transparency and Accountability-LITA in Blantyre.
Goodwell Logeya Executive Director for LITA, told MIJ FM that for CSOs to build resilience, they must have a collective voice of reason on matters that save the interest of a common man.
“We are operating in a dynamic environment and there is need to build resilience to withstand the constantly changing environment,” he said.
Logeya has since underscored the importance of capacity building for CSOs to ably monitor and hold authorities into account to enhance transparency and accountability.
