Study shows vaccination is effective in Covid19 fight

A study by Kamuzu University of Health Sciences has found that Covid-19 vaccinations are highly effective in preventing the virus.

This was said during the dissemination of the findings of research on the SARS-COV-2 infection transmission dynamics and household impact in Malawi-SCATHIM by Kamuzu University of Health sciences.

The research was conducted from December 2020 to October 2021.

Speaking to MIJ Online, Professor Victor Mwapasa principal investigator of the Scathim project vaccination- said the findings show that vaccination has proven to be very effective in curbing covid-19.

Mwapasa said the research has also found that Covid-19 transmission is very high in households.
